Sony Mobile broadens Xperia range
Sony Mobile has broadened the range of its new generation Xperia portfolio, revealing a cheaper 4G device and an affordable handset with 'best in class' camera.
The Xperia SP and Xperia L will both be available globally by the end of June 2013. The SP (pictured) is a 4G device, with a 4.6 inch HD Reality Display. The device has an 8-megapixel camera, 1.7GHz dual-core processor and runs Android Jelly Bean. Sony said the device has a 'transparent element' feature that changes colour to notify a consumer of incoming messages and calls.
The Xperia L also features manufacturer's Exmor RS technology sensor technology that the manufacturer said offers 'vivid colours and stunning clarity'. The 4.3-inch screen device also runs Jelly Bean on a 1GHz dual-core processor.
Calum MacDougall, director of Xperia marketing at Sony Mobile, said: 'Xperia SP and Xperia L are ideally suited for those seeking stylish class-leading smartphones that don’t compromise on features. Both of our new models benefit from Sony’s proven innovation and engineering expertise – whether you want to enjoy premium HD quality entertainment over 4G LTE on our mid-range Xperia SP or capture every moment in perfect detail with our more affordable Xperia L.'
