Targus to target smartphones
Tablet and laptop accessories maker Targus has moved into mobile, launching 60 new cases for iPhone and Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
The products will be split between four ranges – Premium Leather, Rugged Protection, Everyday Essentials and the personalised ‘Made by Me’ range. The premium range will be sold under the Sena brand, which already produces tablet and laptop products.
John Savage, managing director of Targus in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said: ‘The smartphone accessory market has huge untapped potential. Our mission is clear; with only less than 30% attach rate of smartphone accessories to hardware sales, we will work with our customers and retail partners to take advantage of the massive smartphone opportunity and improve attach rates and increase margins on sales.’
