Charitable MVNO The People's Operator has launched a contract proposition, offering monthly bundles of voice, text and data.
The bundles will be 30 day rolling contracts and will range in price from £5 to £25. The top end bundle offering unlimited calls, texts and 1GB of data. Charities will receive 10% of the bundle's price. The People's Operator said it is working on launching handset contracts.
To mark the launch of the new offer, the MVNO, which runs on EE's network, will cut the price of its most expensive bundle to £20, as well as reducing its £20 bundle to £18. Mark Epstein, co-founder of TPO said, 'We are very excited to be rolling out the next phase of our strategy and building on the success of the last few months as we expand into offering monthly contracts. Our partners and our customers are both set to benefit from our competitive pricing and the knowledge that their money is going to the causes that matter to them most.'
Jason Bellman, director of MVNO and national M2M at EE, said: 'Partnering with EE, the UK’s largest 2G and 3G network, guarantees TPO’s customers optimum quality calls and fantastic data coverage. We’re proud to be working with TPO with their highly innovative business model that gives back to society and now offers a great new range of monthly price plans.'
Among the charities that TPO works with are NSPCC, the Trussell Trust, ChildLine, Children’s Heart Foundation, RE:generate and Caxton House. It will add The Big Issue Foundation soon.
