4G tests continue in west London

Further tests are being held in west London to see if 4G signals will interfere with Freeview signals.

The at800 joint venture between the UK's four operators is holding tests in around 28,000 households in Brentford and Isleworth from 29 April. The households will be sent a special filet, designed to block 4G at 800MHz. It is the size of a pack of cards and fits to a Freeview box or TV aerial.

Simon Beresford-Wylie, CEO of at800, said: 'This test will help us assess any problems viewers may have with fitting filters and whether receiving one in advance improves awareness and understanding of the potential issue. We will have professional testing units and aerial installers in the area to help get Freeview services back to normal if they are affected by our test.'
