Nokia says WhatsApp to new Asha 210 device
Nokia is expected to range its new Qwerty-keyboard Asha 210 device in the UK when it is launched by the end of June.
The device will be sold for around $72 (£47) and will offer free access to the WhatsApp instant messaging service through a dedicated button. The handset, which is also availale in a dual-Sim model, has up to 46 days battery life and a 2MP camera. It is available in yello, cyan, black, magenta and white. Among its features are the Xpress Browser, which Nokia said cuts data consumption from visiting websites by up to 90%, and Nearby, a web app showcasing local points of interest.
Timo Toikkanen, executive vice president for mobile phones at Nokia, said: 'The Nokia Asha 210 really stands out giving super-social consumers new ways to express their personalities through design, colour and innovations like the world's first WhatsApp button. It has been designed to allow people to easily update their social networks, stay in touch with friends and share user created content.'
