BlackBerry has signed a deal with law firm Clifford Chance to roll out more than 1,600 BB10 smartphones, along with the manufacturer's mobile manager, BES10.
Staff will get either the touchscreen Z10 or the Qwerty keyboard Q10, which went on sale at Selfridges today (26 April) and will be rolled out to other retailers from next week. The manufacturer will supply Clifford Chance with the devices from early in the summer. The firm is a longstanding BlackBerry customer, having dealt with it for more than 10 years.
Paul Greenwood, chief information officer at Clifford Chance, said: 'BlackBerry Enterprise Service offers us a strong combination of flexibility, functionality and security. Combined with the new BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10 smartphones, it helps our people to be more productive and to deliver excellence in client service.'
Rob Orr, UK MD of BlackBerry, said: 'We are proud that Clifford Chance has selected BlackBerry 10 as the foundation of its mobile computing strategy.'
BlackBerry's Enterprise Service 10 allows a corporate to manage handsets, apps and security remotely, across BlackBerry, Android and iOS devices.
