HTC claims One supply won't be hit by Dutch court ruling

HTC has denied a recent Dutch court case ruling will halt the supply of its HTC One flagship device.

On Monday, in a case brought by Nokia, a court in the Netherlands imposed a preliminary injunction against microphone component maker STMicroelectronics, which supplies parts to HTC for its One handset. The ruling lead to suggestions HTC would be forced to halt production of the One device, which has already been hit by delays.

However, in a statement, HTC said it was seeking a new microphone manufacturer to supply it with parts. A spokesperson said: 'The judgment against STM states that HTC can continue to use microphones already purchased from STM in its products, because they were purchased in good-faith. Nokia's attempt to obtain a recall of microphones already sold to HTC failed.'

The One handset is at the centre of HTC's attempts to regain market share and turn around its financial fortunes, after years of being battered by competition from Samsung.
