John Doughty to leave Micro-P

John Doughty [pictured], Micro-P accessories business development manager, is leaving the business.

Stuart Bruce, head of sales in Micro-P's accessories division, will take over the responsibility of the accessories division as general manager.

Bruce joined Micro-P in April this year from Blackberry where he had held the post of accessories channel manager, based in Dubai. He joined Blackberry in 2012 moving from Nokia which he joined in 2007 as accessories head for the UK and Ireland.

Bruce will report to Micro-P director Simon Woodman as part of a team that includes Ewan Davies, head of devices, Mark Brewer, Nokia business manager, Simon Slater, Conect business development manager and Jennie Patrick.

Woodman said: 'John has been a valuable member of my team over the last two years in helping to develop our handset business and most recently pulling together our accessories proposition and the directors of MP wish him well in his new role. '

Bruce said: 'I am delighted to be picking up the reins from John Doughty. John has built the foundations of a great team and I look forward to the challenge of taking the business forward.'

Doughty joined Micro-P in 2009 as general manager of mobile. His previous posts include commercial director at Brightstar and sales director at Tech Data UK.
