O2 refreshes upfront cost of iPhone 5
O2 has slashed the upfront cost of a 64GB iPhone 5 for customers signing up to its new Refresh tariff.
The handset is available on an upfront cost of £99.99, a saving of £170, if a customer signs up to Refresh on a £37 per month tariff over two years. The deal will run until 29 May instores and via call centres for O2 customers. O2 said that 95% of all iPhone sales since April have been on its Refresh tariff.
Refresh launched last month and splits the cost of a contract in two, between the operator services and the handset charges. O2 CEO Ronan Dunne has said the tariff gives greater clarity about the value an operator provides to customers.
