EE brings 4G to another 12 cities

EE has extended its 4G service to another 12 cities across the UK, meaning 74 cities can now access next generation services.

The operator brought the service online at Ashton-under-Lyne, Chatham, Gillingham, High Wycombe, Merthyr Tydfil, Oldham, Oxford, Rochester, Runcorn, Sale, Stafford and Wigan. EE is now offering 4G to more than half of the UK's population.

Olaf Swantee, CEO at EE, said: 'The pace of our 4G network roll out continues to keep us at the forefront of the UK mobile market. Just seven months after launch, we’ve covered millions of consumers and businesses with one of the fastest mobile networks in the world.'
