Nokia's latest flagship handset, the Lumia 925, has gone on sale in the UK, with Vodafone exclusively stocking the black 32GB handset and O2 the 16GB white.
The device is effectively a slimmer version of its first Windows Phone 8 flagship, the Lumia 920. It is the first handset to have Nokia's new Smart Camera mode, which captures 10 images at once and allows a user to edit them using a range of different features. The device, which runs on a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, is the first Lumia handset to have a metal build. It has a 4.5 inch Amoled screen and a 8.7MP camera. Like other Lumia handsets, it comes with Nokia's mapping features and its streaming music service.
David Johnson, general manager for devices at O2, said: 'The Nokia Lumia 925 is the best Nokia Windows Phone 8 device yet and will further support the growth of Windows Phone. We think customers will love it, especially our exclusive white version.'
Nokia said the handset will come to Three, EE, Phones 4u, Carphone Warehouse and independent retail outlets later this month. Conor Pierce, VP for Nokia UK and Ireland, said: 'We are delighted with the channel support for the Lumia 925. It’s a fantastic device that will be ranged across all of our partners here in the UK.'
