Global sales of Doro handsets have passed the four million mark, according to the Swedish manufacturer of ‘easy to use’ mobile phones.
Commenting on the milestone sales, Jerome Arnaud, president and group CEO said: ‘We created the easy mobile proposition six years ago and have worked hard to ensure our products continue to push boundaries, adding measurable value to the end user.
Doro is pleased to have established a global brand footprint and to partner with many exciting organisations - together we have helped make Doro the best.'
Doro, which targets older consumers and those looking for simple phones, launched its first phone, Doro HandlePlus 326gsm, in 2007. Doro mobile phones are available in the UK at O2, Tesco Mobile, Asda Mobile, T-Mobile, Orange, Carphone Warehouse, Phones 4U, John Lewis and independent retailers.
Chris Millington, MD of Doro UK and Ireland said: ‘Every day we hear of end users whose lives have been changed by our products. One success story may seem insignificant to many - but when you have four million of them, it puts our work into perspective. I would like to thank all of our UK partners for their ongoing support & input.'
The company which was launched in 1974 produces mobile phones and smart devices, applications and software, fixed line telephony, as well as telecare and mobile health solutions.
