MVNO Ovivo Mobile has teamed up with a mobile advertising company and a promotions business to drive sales from its customer base.
The MVNO offers subsidised prepay Sim-only plans in return for advertising, e-commerce and value added services. The company is on the verge of completing its second stage of investment, which has raised £325,000 through private equity funding platform Crowdcube.com, closes on 21 July.
The first deal, with Amobee, will allow consumers to receive tailored advertising via text messages and rich media. The second deal, with Golden Gekko, will allow Ovivo to send consumers real-time promotions from a forthcoming Ovivo Offers service, which launches later this summer.
