Three kicks off new pay-as-you-go campaign

Three is stepping up its prepay drive by launching a multi-million pound campaign to back its new 321 pay-as-you-go offer.
 
The ‘back-to-basics’ tariff, which offers voice calls for 3p per minute, texts for 2p per minute and MBs of data for 1p each, will be revealed to the public this evening as the operator kicks off the first part of its ‘Pay-as-you-go just got serious’ campaign.
 
A new television commercial starring Mabel the dog – a pug wearing a birthday cake hat – will be aired from tonight, while outdoor print, digital and online adverts will make up the drive. The primary phase of the initiative will only last until the end of the month, although the second part of the campaign will pick up in November for the build-up to Christmas.
 
The price plan, which was revealed last month, is said to be ‘clear and simple’ for customers, without ‘any tariff mumbo jumbo’. Users also have the added benefit of being able to top up their phones without the risk losing ‘non-expiring’ credit.
