Samsung to bring 4G ready Galaxy S4 Zoom to the UK
Samsung will launch the 4G incarnation of the Galaxy S4 Zoom in the UK after the release of the original earlier this summer.
Although no UK release date has been announced, the device is now commercially available in continental Europe. The smartphone/camera hybrid offers the same picture-taking qualities as the original, but with faster LTE internet connection. The handset still boasts a 16MP CMOS sensor with Xenon Flash and 10x optical zoom, while the ‘Zoom Ring’ feature allows users to share photos while calling. The device comes with a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 8GB of internal memory, and runs the Jelly Bean version of Android.
Simon Stanford, vice-president of the IT and mobile division at Samsung UK and Ireland, said: ‘The introduction of LTE capabilities to the Galaxy S4 Zoom demonstrates our commitment to providing customers with the best possible product on the market. Today's consumers place great importance on being connected with their world, a need that is catered for with the LTE technology. It’s powerful, stylish and is perfect for those who want to take outstanding pictures from a device that’s always with them and then share them immediately and easily.’
