Huawei will be the official sponsor of the PruHealth World Triathlon Grand Final 2013 in London next week.
The event takes place in Hyde Park between 11-15 September where the Chinese manufacturer will be represented in the ‘Hyde Park experience zone'. Customers and employees can take part in the open sprint triathlon. More than 160 countries will be able to view broadcasts of the event.
Huawei UK executive vice president, Mark Mitchinson said: ‘We are delighted to announce our support of the PruHealth World Triathlon Grand Final. Huawei is dedicated to bringing the latest technology to consumers and is proud to support events that reflect its vision of excellence and possibility. The triathlon competition elements themselves mirror the key attributes of the Ascend P6 – Huawei’s flagship device and the world’s slimmest smartphone. Swimming reflects the grace and elegance of the P6's design; cycling, its strength and durability; and running, its endurance and unrivalled battery life.’
Marisol Casado president of the International Triathlon Union (ITU) and IOC Member added: ‘We are very excited Huawei will be a partner of the Grand Final in London. Huawei is dedicated to bringing the latest technology to consumers by creating extraordinary and differentiated experiences, just as triathlon is a unique experience for each athlete.’
