Nokia will launch its Lumia 1020 handset into the UK from 25 September, with O2 bagging the exclusive of the 64GB handset.
The manufacturer, whose handset division was bought by Microsoft last week, said the handset will go on sale across Three, O2, Vodafone, EE, Phones 4u and Carphone Warehouse. It is the latest flagship of Nokia's Lumia portfolio, with a 41MP camera.
Preorders will open for the handset from today (12 September), with early-bird consumers getting a free Nokia Camera Grip, wireless charging back cover, wireless charging plate and tripod worth £150 for every device.
Conor Pierce, vice-president of Nokia UK and Ireland, said: 'We are delighted with the response we have received from the UK marketplace. It is clear that there is a strong appetite for a smartphone with such unrivaled image taking capabilities. The ability to express your imaging creativity and then share instantly really does put this phone in a class of its own.'
Three was the first to confirm pricing plans, with the device available on a 24 month contract for a £69 upfront payment. Consumers can then pay £34 per month for its Ultimate Internet 500 plan with 500 minutes, £36 per month for its Ultimate Internet 1,000 plan with 1,000 minutes, or £38 for its all-you-can-eat data One Plan, which includes 2,000 cross network minutes.
Three head of devices Sylvia Chind said: 'The Lumia 1020 is a fantastic high-end smartphone with a ground-breaking, professional style camera, that’s going to give our customers everything they need to take amazing, every day photos that they can share easily across our network.'
