Sources claim Nokia to delay Lumia phablet launch
The sale of Nokia to Microsoft could see delays to Nokia's product portfolio, according to a report in Reuters.
A source told the paper that Nokia has delayed the launch of its forthcoming 'phablet' , which had been scheduled for a fourth quarter launch. The report said the launch event in New York, which was part of Nokia’s plans to revamp its Lumia portfolio, had been pushed back ‘by several weeks.’
Nokia declined to comment. UK operators have already been shown the device, which has been lauded by retailers as Nokia's strongest Windows Phone device to date.
The claims closely follow the announcement this month that Microsoft is to buy Nokia in a £4.5bn deal which will see the software giant take over Nokia’s devices business and license patents.
