VODAFONE is leading the industry for product knowledge, as retail and call centre staff at the operator are performing most strongly in this year’s Product Mastermind competition. Phone s 4u and Three Retail were also battling for second place in the Knowledge Tracker, as Mobile went to press.
Product Mastermind, brought to you by ISellMobile and Samsung, is a three month quest to find the most knowledgeable company in the mobile industry.
Product Mastermind is now in the entry phase – where staff compete to be one of four experts representing their company. But even if they do not make the company team, their efforts are all important. They can take quizzes that qualify them for prize draws while earning their company team points.
‘The staff are like an extra member of the team, and the Knowledge Tracker shows us how they’re doing,’ says David Nunn, editor in chief of Mobile. ‘Right now staff can earn their team an easier fi xture in the knockout rounds, giving them the best possible chance of success. Later, when the knockouts are underway, they could boost their team’s score by up to 20% if they take the prize draw quizzes.
‘We challenge everyone working for a major retailer to show us what they can do.There is still a week to go, and plenty of time to enter,’ Nunn added.
