Shine travels with taxis
The LG Shine is being featured in a high profile ad campaign this month to promote its launch.
The second phone in the ‘Black Label’ series is being featured in TV ads, press ads, and on point-of-sale materials. The launch campaign is being fronted by illusionist David Blaine.
The Shine will also be travelling about London in a three-month taxi ad campaign (pictured).
LG sales director John Barton said the campaign was ‘building on the two-phase Chocolate campaign’ and would help the handset sell more than its predecessor. 300,000 units have already sold.
Barton said LG’s ‘main thrust’ for 2007 would be combining ‘superior innovation’ with design and manufacturing capabilities, helping LG to ‘secure its position in the top-tier – a goal we want to achieve by 2010’.
