HTC has revealed the ‘supersized’ carnation of its flagship smartphone, the One max, complete with fingerprint scanner.
The device is due for global release later this month, with a UK release date to be confirmed. The handset’s screen size is half an inch larger than the 5.4” One, but the Taiwanese manufacturer has incorporated many of the same features.
The device will be available exclusively with Vodafone from launch and will be offered across both 3G and 4G tariffs.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor device has HTC’s trademark BlinkFeed homescreen as well as Zoe camera capabilities and BoomSound music features. The larger screen is full HD 1080p, while the 16GB or 32GB internal storage can be expanded with a microSD card. The new fingerprint scanner can be found at the back of the One Max and allows users to launch favourite applications as well as unlocking the device.
CEO of HTC, Peter Chou, said: ‘The addition of the HTC One max means that we now have an HTC One phone for everyone. The family has been built on quality and game-changing innovations and the HTC One max is certainly no exception. The upgrade to HTC Sense 5.5 will provide our most amazing mobile experience yet, with the HTC One max delivering the size and power required to do everything you want, and more, without compromise.’
