Samsung will give the public the opportunity to test drive new products including the unreleased Galaxy Tab 3 Kids at its temporary Galaxy Studio in London from this weekend.
The pop-up location will pitch up at Portobello Road in west London between Saturday 19 October and Sunday 24 November. As well as the child-friendly device, tech enthusiasts will be able to experience the Galaxy Note 3, the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition, and the Korean manufacturer’s first stab at wearable technology, the Samsung Galaxy Gear.
The device maker has also set up relationships with eight retailers in the locality to ‘integrate its devices into their businesses’. Hair stylists 10500, nail shop Coco, the Provenance butcher and cafes L’Epicerie and Coffee plant, among others, will take part in the initiative.
Simon Stanford, vice president of IT and mobile at Samsung UK and Ireland, said: ‘Our objective in opening the Samsung Galaxy Studio on Portobello Road was to highlight the everyday functionality of our new range of Galaxy devices and support local retailers in the area in integrating this new technology into their businesses. We believe that with this new pop-up space and our collaborations with Portobello Road-based retailers, we have created an engaging and immersive experience for our customers to experience our products and see how they can benefit them.’
