Vodafone Group appoints ex-Play exec as new head of digital
Vodafone Group has added to its executive team by hiring Adam Stewart as its new head of digital.
A spokesperson confirmed to Mobile that Play.com’s current marketing director will take up his new post on 4 November. His appointment is expected to coincide with the operator rolling out its first global brand identity since 2005. Stewart previously worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was head of online marketing, and Marks and Spencer.
The appointment adds to a flurry of movement at Vodafone after the September announcement of chief executive Guy Laurence’s upcoming move to Canada’s Rogers Communication. In the time since, Cindy Rose has arrived from Virgin Media as director of consumer, while Mobile recently revealed head of UK and Ireland terminals, Richard Ferguson, was moving to Telefonica UK in November.
