Samsung breaks new records with Galaxy S4
Samsung's Galaxy S4 has become its fastest selling handset, after shifting 40 million units in the past six months.
Its former flagship device, the Galaxy SIII, took seven months to hit the same sales milestone. The Galaxy S4 hit 20 million sales in its first two months of sale. JK Shin, Samsung’s CEO and president of IT & mobile division, revealed the sales figures in an interview with South Korean press.
The manufacturer had reportedly set ambitious targets for its flagship device and despite the record breaking sales, it is believed to have unhappy with its performance to date. Reports have suggested that the Galaxy S5's launch could be brought forward to January next year.
