Orange launches GPS system

Orange launches GPS system
Orange has launched a GPS navigation system available on a range of its business phones.

Sat-Nav can be downloaded to a range of smartphones and PDA’s made by Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Blackberry and Orange. Maps and live traffic updates are downloadable via Wifi, 3G, GPRS or the Orange EDGE network onto a handset.

The maps, powered by GPS specialist Webraska, hold information on hotels, restaurants, parking and other points of interest as well as speed cameras and live traffic information. Once a route has been downloaded, Sat-Nav provides GPS-triggered real-time instructions, and favourite routes can be saved to mobile devices.

It costs £150 to Orange users. Real time traffic information is available for an additional annual charge of £27.59.
