BlackBerry announces further executive exits

BlackBerry's exodus of executives has continued as the Canadian firm has announced the departures of Rick Costanzo and Chris Wormald.

Executive vice president of global sales, Costanzo, and Wormald, vice president of strategic alliances, have announced their resignations. The pair, who were both long-term employees of the smartphone manufacturer, will follow Kristian Tear and Frank Boulben who were axed by incoming CEO John Chen in November. Chen himself replaced the beleaguered Thorsten Heins at the start of last month.

A BlackBerry spokesperson said: ‘We can confirm that Rick Costanzo, EVP of Global Sales has resigned from BlackBerry and Chris Wormald, VP of Strategic Alliances, has also decided to leave. We thank them both for their contributions and wish them well.’
