Nina Bibby, the recently appointed top marketer at O2, has continued hiring as the operator prepares itself to win over consumers as 4G rolls out.
Three new members of staff have been hired from Manchester City, Paddy Power and parent company Telefonica to help build O2’s marketing strategy.
Ian Cafferky leaves Manchester City to join O2 in a marketing engagement role and help organise and simplify the company’s marketing communications.
Danny Russell has been appointed general manager or business intelligence, leaving his role of insight director at Paddy Power.
Bibby has also added Jonathan Earle to the team. Earle leaves his position as chief marketing officer for Telefonica in Slovakia, and returns to the UK to become head of customer strategy and development for O2. He will be ultimately responsible for customer experience.
Bibby herself joined O2 in November 2013 as marketing and consumer director, and vowed to ‘redefine the role’ the company plays for its customers.
