LG has revealed its 'delight with customer feedback' following its partnership with EE to demo its ground-breaking G Flex handset ahead of its February release.
The device is the first of its kind to be released on these shores, and the UK's largest operator has had demo pods set up in ten of its stores since December to give customers the chance to experience the flexible device. The smartphone is due to go on sale with the operator in early February, and is also available to pre-order with Carphone Warehouse. The manufacturer labelled the phone 'the world's first curved smartphone' when it was unveiled in Korea last October, and LG has high hopes for the device in the UK after a successful demo launch.
LG head of marketing, Carolyn Anderson, told Mobile: ‘As with any new technology it is important that consumers get the chance to try it out for themselves – to see and feel the benefits. The partnership with EE enabled us to do this, putting this extraordinary product into the hands of consumers, months before it was available to purchase. As a result, we’ve been able to capture the attentions of shoppers on the hunt for their next device and looking out for the next big innovations. We are delighted with the feedback from consumers and store staff alike, which has been extremely positive.
'LG is always at the forefront of innovation, pushing technology design and functionality to constantly improve users’ experiences with its products. The LG G Flex reflects this commitment and boasts a revolutionary curved screen; designed for the natural curvature of the face, to improve comfort, audio quality and overall viewing experience.'
An EE spokesperson added: ‘The instore handset demos generated extremely positive feedback from customers over the Christmas period, who were not only excited by the new design style of the handset, but the device’s great screen and innovative user interface.’
