O2 has inked a deal with The Sun newspaper giving O2 4G customers access to Sun+ and Sun+ Goals.
The Sun+ service lets football fans watch goals and highlights from the Barclays Premier League, the FA Cup, Scottish Premier League and Rangers matches.
O2 customers who sign up to a 5GB, £22 per month, 4G Refresh tariff will receive six months inclusive access to Sun+ Goals. Those opting for an 8GB, £27 per month O2 4G Refresh tariff will receive twelve months access.
Sun+ Goals will also be available on up to five Android or iOS devices per customer under the offer.
Customers signing up to the deal will get access to The Sun’s digital entertainment bundle including Sun+ Goals, access to Sun’s news website, The Sun’s mobile app and The Sun’s tablet app.
The move is part of O2’s drive into 4G digital services which include O2 Tracks, exclusive Priority Sports content and a range of multiplayer Gameloft games that can be played over O2 4G without any data charges.
Sun has struck a deal with mobile operator O2 to offer its 4G customers content including Premier League football goal clips, a groundbreaking move that could transform its Sun+ digital subscription offering.
