Samsung has earmarked Mobile World Congress to reveal its new portfolio of network solutions.
The theme of the demonstration will be 'Elegant Connections, Possibilities Redefined', and the Korean smartphone maker will reveal a number of new 'solution concepts' aimed at mobile operators to help optimise network performance.
The concepts on show includes:
- High density cell solution, where Samsung will suggest C-RAN to improve effectiveness and functionality in dense urban areas;
- Evolutions in carrier aggregation, where the manufacturer will showcase Smart CA which improves cell edge performance and verifies mobile data speed enhancements;
- Smart media networks, which attempts to improve end-user experience in multimedia using Smart Cache
Additionally, the manufacturer will showcase its vision for enabling new revenue stream opportunities, which included VoLTE, Rich Communications and Embms.
Samsung will also reveal a 'suite of enterprise communications' which includes Smart WLAN for a better service during voice calls and video play by using an umbrella Wifi solution for smartphones and tablets. Smarrt WLAN includes high performance access points, a WLAN controller and unified comms solutions.
Samsung vice president of IT and mobile division, Simon Stanford, said: ‘With the mobile industry evolving and smart device usage continuing to grow Samsung must provide a mobile network to meet consumer needs.
