Watch: Three turns to singing cat for new advertising campaign
Three has launched its latest advertising campaign today (21 February) which features a cat singing 80s hit 'We Built This City' to promote internet sharing.
The cat, named Bronte, belts out the Starship classic in the basket of its young owner's bicycle to showcase the power of sharing 'silly stuff' via Three's mobile internet network. According to the operator, more than 3.8 million Brits share videos and pictures of cats daily.
Wieden and Kennedy London created the ad which follows the successful dancing pony advert shown late last year. Those wanting to get involved in the #SingItKitty campaign can star in their own version of the add.
The commercial launched today and will benefit from premier scheduling throughout the weekend.
Three marketing director Tom Malleschitz said: ‘Last year we were blown away with the runaway success of our moonwalking pony, Socks. As the network built for the internet we understand people’s behaviour online and know that cute, silly, or unexpected images and videos are what make people tick. We are very excited to launch this advert and hope it will simply bring a smile to your face when you watch it. And the app is an experience that you automatically want to share with friends and family because it’s just straightforward fun.’
