Carphone Warehouse to stock four smartwatches from Q2
Carphone Warehouse wants to take advantage of the wearable buzz around Mobile World Congress by stocking four smartwatches from Q2.
The retailer has confirmed that it will be launching the Sony SmartBand and the three Samsung variations – the Gear2, Gear2 Neo and Gear Fit – once they are launched by their manufacturers. All four devices are expected to hit the market in April.
Carphone Warehouse managing director, Carl Cowling, said: ‘Wearable technology marks the beginning of a fundamental shift in the way people are using their devices. Innovation is being driven by rising demand from the general public wanting to use multiple devices that are better integrated - we know that our customers want their tech to work seamlessly across all areas of their existing lifestyle, including fitness, health and well-being. From smartwatches to smartbands, these products are easy to access quickly, ideal for when you’re on the go.’
