Two new handsets launched by HTC
Taiwanese manufacturer HTC is launching two new 3G handsets in the UK late next month, the MteoR and the TyTn.
The manufacturer, which has a strong track-record of producing Windows Mobile smartphones, hopes that fast, instant internet access over 3G will help boost sales.
The two handsets are HTC's first attempt to market products under its own brand name. It already supplies handsets to companies including 02 and Orange who sell the devices under their own brand names. HTC will only offer its new models to distributors that don't carry operator branded HTC handsets.
Although HTC is yet to confirm which UK networks and retailers will be getting their hands on the new devices, the MteoR will retail at £299 Sim-free and the TyTn at £549.
