EE launches 4G roaming in France and Spain
EE is stepping up its international 4G proposition by offering customers access to the ultrafast network in France and Spain.
The move follows the announcement regarding its inbound 4G roaming initiative for US travellers in the UK last December, and begins a rollout around several other destinations. By the middle of the year 4G customers will be able to use the service in the US, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
Customers of the operator can purchase bundles starting at £3 for 100MB over a 24-hour period. A month’s allowance (200MB) will be available in a £35 bundle.
EE CEO Olaf Swantee said: ‘EE already has the biggest and fastest 4G network in the UK – now we’re also allowing our customers to stay connected on 4G when they’re abroad. Our customers will be the first to benefit in France and Spain today, with the most popular travel destinations to follow in the coming months. Whether it’s working on the move, social networking, using maps, or just finding a great place to eat in an unknown city, our customers will now benefit from the same superfast and reliable mobile experience at home and overseas.’
