Samsung launches Tizen SDK for new Gear range

Samsung has revealed that its Tizen Software Development Kit (SDK) has been launched for its new wearables, the Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo.

The software is now ready to download from the Tizen developer website, which will lead to a number of apps being made available on the platform loaded onto the two devices.

Apps provided for the Gear 2 range include wrist gesture reader Atooma, EasilyDo smart assistant, Feedly, fitness app Focus TRAINR, Sleep Genius, CNN, Expedia, eBay and many more.

The smartwatches were unveiled at Mobile World Congress last month and will be available worldwide from April.
