EE technical issue 'resolved' according to operator
EE has confirmed the technical issue that affected a proportion of its customers last night (19 March) has been resolved.
Hundreds of unhappy customers across the country took to Twitter throughout the evening to complain of losing service, for up to 12 hours in some cases. Some customers are still reporting that the operator’s mobile internet service is down via the social media site, although EE said people not seeing a signal should switch their phone off and on again.
EE could not yet confirm what caused the issues.
An EE spokesperson said: ‘Last night's technical issue that caused a small proportion of our customers to experience problems with their signal has been resolved and all customers are now receiving a normal service. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to those customers affected.’
