EE has expanded its free flights offer to customers pre-ordering the Samsung Galaxy S5.
The operator has teamed up with Samsung to drive sales of the manufacturer’s flagship phone by offering free flights to customers who buy or pre-order the Galaxy S5 before 10 April.
The offer, launched today, promises a free return flight to one of 12 European destinations, including Rome, Paris, Prague and Barcelona, to customers who either purchase or pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S5. Consumers will also get twice as much data at twice the 4G speed than the standard 4GEE plan. To qualify for the deal customers need to pre-order or purchase the phone online through the EE Shop by 10 April.
Sharon Meadows, director of devices at EE, said: 'This is exactly the type of device we had in mind when we built the UK’s biggest and fastest network – it’s highly powerful and delivers a next-generation mobile experience that demands next-generation 4G connectivity. Even before the pre-orders have opened, we’ve seen strong interest from customers and the S5 looks like it will be one of the most popular handsets of the year.'
Samsung's Galaxy S5 is the latest smartphone to be included in EE’s free flights offer, following in the footsteps of the HTC One (M8) and the Xperia Z2.
The Samsung Galaxy S5, which runs on the latest Android KitKat OS, sports a 16-megapixel camera with a superfast 0.3 second auto-focus speed and a 5.1-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. It also has S Health which monitors users’ fitness, diet, calories burned, heart rate and distance covered and sets simple goals.
