Carphone Warehouse has stolen a march on its retail rivals by offering the Sony Xperia Z2 two weeks ahead of its full launch.
The new flagship was expected to be out in April, although its full launch was pushed back to 1 May as Sony said it did not expect to meet high demand earlier this month. The retail giant will be stocking it from next week.
The device will be available from £42 per month with £100 cashback on all pay monthly and upgrade deals. The Z2 is available to pre-order up until its general release.
Pre-ordering customers will receive an additional £80 worth of content, including movies Captain Phillips, Elysium and Django Unchained, as well as millions of songs and Playstation games. From 13 May they will also be able to download Michael Jackson’s new album, Xscape, for free from the Sony Xperia Lounge App.
The Sony Xperia Z2 was one of the most talked about smartphones unveiled at this year’s Mobile World Congress, and goes head-to-head with other flagships, the HTC One (M8), Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Nokia Lumia 930.
