Toughshield has added a slew of names to its executive board alongside new CEO Merrick Edwards.
Edwards (pictured) had been involved with the ruggedised mobile firm for a number of years and is credited with putting together its current distribution strategy. His appointment coincides with the arrival of Michael Kreft as sales director central Europe and Tal Weber as sales director in emerging markets.
Additional appointments include new technical account manager of central Europe, Helmut Will, Katarzyna Muszynska as Polish sales manager and Javier Perez, sales manager Iberia. Alain Segond von Banchet also arrives as sales representative of Benelux.
Edwards said: ‘I am thrilled to become the CEO of Toughshield. We will be launching a number of exciting new products later this year that will firmly establish Toughshield in the enterprise mobility space, complementing the R500+ rugged smartphone and the T700 rugged tablet. We have built an experienced and dedicated organisation in preparation for this, as demonstrated by the senior appointments announced today. It’s an exciting time to be taking the helm.
‘Our passionate, dedicated and experienced team is poised to capitalise on the exciting growth opportunities presented to us through the rise of consumerisation. Toughshield is uniquely placed to fulfil specific customer requirements for ruggedised devices with added value.’
