With Motorola having organised a press conference in London for 13 May, its very likely the company will unveil a new smartphone to attendees on the day.
And with a number of new product pages suddenly on Motorola's US website, it’s possible that the Moto E is now ready for UK release.
Although the three new website pages just contain internal company references to mobile phones along with price tags, the timely updates are surely of interest to the industry.
The new pages refer to the Moto 3G Global 4GB ($179), the Moto 4G Global ($179), and the Moto 4G Global ($189).
It's also possible a different model altogether is set for release coming with 3G and 3G options.
The invitation to the press event states: ‘Connect more people to the world's information and each other, and they can do great things. Introducing the next smartphone from Motorola to make these connections happen. Made to last. Priced for all.’
Technology experts are predicting the Motorola Moto E will be an affordable alternative to the popular Moto G.
According to rumours in the industry, the new smartphone will allegedly come with a 4.3-inch 720p display, 5-megapixel rear camera, dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory along with a 1,900 mAh battery.
An eagerly-awaited feature of any new handset is improved connectivity. While the Moto G did not support 4G LTE, the Moto E device is likely to have this capability.
With the Motorola Moto G and Moto X already on sale across the UK, it is expected the mobile technology firm will showcase a new handset at the event.
And with the new product pages appearing on the Motorola website, it could be an early warning that the Motorola Moto E is indeed on the way.
A spokesperson for Motorola said the company could not comment on the subject.
