Alcatel's fashion partnership
Alcatel has teamed up on a handset with Italian luggage and computer carry case designer Mandarina Duck.
The phone is part of Carphone Warehouse's Limited Collection of designer exclusives, due out in November.
Available in bold colours, such as red and yellow, it is a rubberised flip phone that comes with a duck print on the back and a bag clip to make the phone easier to find. Features include Bluetooth and MP3 player.
Carphone's other Winter fashion handsets include the Ted Baker L760 with Samsung. It is a 3G slider that comes with a two megapixel camera, MP3 player and FM radio. It is expected to reach stores in October. There is also a Ted Baker HTC smartphone due in Carphone in October.
The Porsche P9521, manufactured by Sagem, is due out in November. Made from dark mineral glass, it can either be flipped or twisted open to vary the viewing angle and it comes with a fingerprint sensor security system.
It also includes quad-band functioning, a 3.2 megapixel camera, MP3 player and web browser. The handset is expected to retail at around £800.
