Mobile phone manufacturer Samsung has signed a new agreement with the Football Association to provide mobile phone devices to the England football team.
As the FA’s official consumer electronics and smartphone supplier, Samsung will equip the England team and staff with the Samsung Galaxy S5 before they depart for the World Cup in Brazil this summer.
With health-related features such as a heart rate monitor, the device is sure to prove useful to players.
'We are thrilled to partner with the England football team ahead of what is set to be an exciting summer of football,' said Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland president, Andy Griffiths.
With Samsung having a long association with football both in the UK and globally, the company said it was delighted that the new partnership will add to its on-going commitment to football fans.
'We wish the England team the best of luck this summer and are proud that the players and staff will be equipped with the latest Samsung technology.'
Samsung has a fantastic heritage in football across the globe, said FA commercial director, Stuart Turner, adding that the England team will be flying out to Brazil with the ‘best possible mobile devices at their fingertips’.
