O2 achieves integrity, confidentiality and availability certification
O2 has become the first operator in the UK to achieve a certification guaranteeing its proficiency in protecting information and performing to a high standard of integrity, confidentiality and availability.
The certification, CAS(T) supports the pan-government effort to unify the provision of network infrastructure across the UK public sector, making it more efficient and deliver better value for money when it comes to investment in technology services.
Billy D’Arcy, MD of Public Sector Business at O2, described the announcement as: ‘Evidence of the strength and resilience of our network, which we have invested over £1bn in over the past few years.’
‘We continue to invest the equivalent of £1.5m in our network every single day to offer seamless connectivity and remain focused on delivering an experience that exceeds our customers’ expectations, both in the private and public sector,’ he added.
He confirmed that O2 will continue to work with some of the UK’s most essential public and private sector organisations to bring to life the transformational benefits of digital technology.
O2 has ambitions to become the technology partner of choice for public sector organisations. This announcement gives assurance that O2’s network is robust and secure and follows significant investment in a dedicated public sector division.
