Vodafone UK has appointed Phil Mottram, former CEO of Hong Kong mobile network CSL, as its enterprise director.
Mottram replaces interim enterprise director Mark Allinson, who took on the role when Jeroen Hoencamp, the former enterprise director, became Vodafone UK CEO in November 2013.
Mottram’s previous roles include global sales executive director at Telstra, MD of BT Trading Systems; and European sales director of Radianz and Sprint.
Vodafone UK CEO Jeroen Hoencamp said: ‘I am delighted Phil has joined us. This is an exciting time for Vodafone, and he will add great value as a member of the UK senior management team given his outstanding track record of building enterprise businesses here in the UK and globally.’
Mottram said: ‘I have long admired Vodafone as a global brand and I’m excited to be part of the team which will be driving us to become the UK’s most admired enterprise total communications provider. I watched the acquisition of Cable & Wireless Worldwide with interest and feel it is a real game changer for Vodafone as we can now offer our customers fixed, mobile and unified services, with bonded 4G, which will help them to develop new revenue streams, new business models and deliver a better customer experience.’
Allinson will take on a new role as Group Enterprise Marketing Director, reporting to Nick Jeffery. He will take up his new role with effect from 1 July 2014 and will continue to lead the CWW integration programme until taking up his new position.
