Vodafone launches EuroTraveller service
Vodafone’s Pay as you go customers holidaying in Europe this summer will welcome the telecoms firm’s new service Vodafone EuroTraveller.
With Vodafone EuroTraveller, customer can use their existing UK price plan of voice minutes and texts along with 100MB of data, when they are travelling in the European zone for the cost of £2 per day.
Pay as you go customers pay for the days they use their mobile abroad, said the company. Users continue to use their chosen Vodafone Freebee pack or extras as they would at home. Vodafone said customers would not be charged extra to receive calls and texts.
Customers signing up to the EuroTraveller service on Pay as you go will receive a text alert when they are near to their 100MB data limit. Should they hit the monthly spending limit of £41.29, they will not be able to use mobile internet while overseas unless they contact Vodafone's customer services department to remove the block on internet access.
The new service will be available from July 21.
