Three offers best 3G and 4G service – Broadband Genie report
Three offers the best 3G and 4G in the UK, according to the latest annual report from Broadband Genie. Broadband Genie tests the mobile internet speeds of the UK’s networks on trains from London to Edinburgh.
According to this year’s findings, Three offers the best service for 3G and 4G in the UK. EE came second in the table. Of the main UK networks, Vodafone completed the fewest tests successfully suggesting it’s the least reliable and slowest network.
Three produced 3G top speeds of 15.41Mb, with an average of around 4.48Mb. EE provided average download speeds of 2.62Mb while O2 offered 2.03Mb. Meanwhile, Vodafone offered an average download of 1.21Mb per second.
In 4G results, Three’s top download speed was recorded at 19.54Mbps with downloads averaging at 6.19Mb. O2 came in at at 4.13Mb. EE’s average download speed was 3.99Mb.
Vodafone’s results were better with 4G than 3G – it reported average speeds of 3.2Mb. Vodafone also completed the fewest number of tests.
