Samsung launches Samsung Galaxy app store

Mobile phone manufacturer Samsung has launched a new Samsung Galaxy app store, which offers hundreds of apps to Samsung Galaxy mobile device owners. Replacing Samsung Apps, the new store features apps for greater customisation of the mobile devices, as well as new offers and promotions.

The Samsung Galaxy Apps interface has three sections: Best Picks, Top, and For Galaxy. Best Picks allows users to find recommended apps and promotions. Top showcases the most popular apps, which can be viewed according to their popularity, date, and price.

In the For Galaxy offering, Gifts offers premium apps exclusive on Galaxy devices. Galaxy Essentials delivers must-have apps for Galaxy devices. Apps for Professionals has business-focused apps and other services. Galaxy Specials lets users download apps specifically created by using Samsung SDKs.

WonPyo Hong, president of the Media Solution Center at Samsung Electronics, said: 'At Samsung, we continuously strive to create value for our customers by providing differentiated solutions and services coupled with innovative devices.'

Samsung Galaxy Apps is an 'extension of that promise', as it offers customers exclusive apps to enrich their experience, he said.
