Carrier EE has launched two new mobile phone insurance plans, Full Cover and Damage Cover.
Costing £10 per month, EE’s Full Cover offers protection against loss, theft and damage, with same-day or next-day replacement. EE customers can also benefit from exclusive discounts of up to 50% off upgrade fees mid-contract.
As for those with Android handsets, they will also receive a free subscription to the premium version of Lookout Mobile Security, EE edition, offering enhanced mobile security, content backup and free theft alerts.
EE has also launched Damage Cover for protection against accidents or mishaps. For £6.50 per month, the insurance policy offers a replacement handset if a phone is accidentally damaged, with claims fulfilled the same day or the next day.
Speaking on the new offerings, Kate Horler, head of mobile insurance products at EE, said: 'With the smartphone at the centre of our customers’ digital lives, we understand that losing or breaking a device can be stressful.'
She continued, 'As a result, we’ve evolved our insurance packages to help minimise the disruption this causes and provide even greater peace of mind and exclusive benefits to our customers.'
