Three new BenQ’s
Ben Q has unveiled three new handsets destined for a UK launch later this year.
The SL91 hints at the design of LG’s Chocolate, with its black slider design and touch sensitive keypad. It comes equipped with a 3 megapixel camera and a cradle which acts as both a charger and a PC synchronisation device. The device is likely to take centre stage as BenQ Mobile's flagship device when it reaches the UK during autumn.
The black bar style E81 is being targeted at business users, with its 3G capability and 1GB of expandable memory, on top of a 1.3 megapixel camera with flash and ability to download MP3’s via audio streaming.
The E71 looks similar to the E81 but only features GPRS connectivity, comes in silver and black and has a special resistant coating to minimise fingerprint marks. It comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera, expandable memory and a music cable, allowing downloaded songs to be played on a stereo system.
The SL91 is being lined up to compete with LG's Chocolate handset and Samsung's E900 on the hotly contested slider market, although BenQ hopes the better specs of its device will help it steal a march on its rivals.
Details on pricing and networks on all three handsets are still to be announced.
