Three-quarters of businesses say they have a mobile marketing strategy in place
More than three-quarters of UK businesses are integrating mobile marketing into their overall marketing campaigns, according to a new report by Oracle Marketing Cloud and Econsultancy.
The Cross-Channel Marketing Report 2014 highlights how brands are moving away from the traditional marketing channels toward digital and mobile marketing.
The study revealed how 20% of firms are now using mobile notifications and push alerts. These tools, along with email mobile apps and messaging, are the areas where brands say they are best able to achieve customer retention.
Of those surveyed, more than 75% said that they had some type of strategy in place on mobile marketing integration with campaigns, representing a year-on-year rise of 16%.
However, the survey found that while it is clear that UK companies realise the importance of using the digital channels, many needed to place more focus on including them in campaigns.
